My counselling approach is very much focused on the “here and now”: where you are currently in your life (personal or professional) and where would you like to be. As I know from my clients there has to be more to your therapy than talking for 50 minutes and stirring up emotions – they want ways to move forward.

So when I work with you it’s about equipping you with tools, showing you how to become a creator not a reactor and revealing to you how to invite new opportunities in by letting go of negative thoughts and behaviours. We do this by being creative and holistic.

Integrative & Holistic

So my approach is integrative and holistic as I not only look at what’s going on for you internally but also what external factors have lead to the ‘hard time’ you are now going through. By identifying how you relate to others, easy ways to deal with your shyness, negative thinking, stress or anxiety. Also where relevant we will look at how your past may be affecting your present life. Hence, I suggest meditation techniques, books and DVDS that can also help you to achieve your therapeutic goals. As all the aforementioned have helped me to achieve changes in my life and revitalise my own relationships.

Creative

As a psychotherapist and creative person my therapy approach is a very creative one, which means that although I use the traditional therapeutic talking and listening, I also include a variety of techniques based on your level of interest and comfort: writing, painting, relaxation techniques, journaling, artistic excursions, drawing, storytelling, role play, meditation techniques, books, mp3’s and DVDS recommendations and much more to help you develop, become empowered and feeling happier about life.
